nikka i'm with u on all of this, i think the Matrix coming out of the gate had the potential to be much greater....possibly this generations Star Wars. Alot of ppl hate on the last two but they were NOT straight status...but i understand they weren't as good as the first one so some amount of backlash is understandable.

As for the rumors, they have been nothing but rumors since forever and a day(unless u done read something new about it?). I'll believe it when i see it. SMH at nikkas gonna act like they wouldn't go see that shyt opening night like everybody else if a 4th movie does get dropped.

I think the Wachowski's will drop another trilogy(God i hope its not a prequel trilogy) at some point. The first Matrix is a movie i will watch EVERY TIME i catch it on tv, shyt was so good.

I remember being the only one at the time that said the 2nd movie sucked and people was calling me a hater. Now I know why the 2nd movie sucked, because the 1st movie was a stolen idea.

It is crazy how 2 dissappointing films shattered a whole franchise. I mean it even made people go back and start to dislike the first film.

I feel like that kinda happened with the hangover too. People loved the first one, didnt like that second one and then I started hearing people hate on the first one again.

Eh its just how it goes sometimes. I mean hangover already had hate because it was so hyped up. Anytime a film gets hyped up its going to create a group of people that hate it not because of the film but because of the hype itself. The second one was awful though. I didnt catch until the blu ray and had heard bad things. But I wasnt expectig it to be that bad,didnt even laugh once.

other franchises like spider man 3 and godfather 3 were pretty terrible,alien 3 as well but it doesnt take away from the strength of the others.

Their mistake was making the two sequels at the same time. If theyd just done sequel they could have seen the reception and changed the third film accordingly but it was too late.

that was the planned ending for the movie franchise. the story continued in the MMORPG game but that game ended a while back.

Yea I can't lie I tried for years to take up for the trilogy but man was it a jumbled mess. I remember going to see the second one being hyped as hell....and then the Rave scene in Zion happens...........that's the very moment where the movie and franchise as a whole went to shyt. I was straight confused when that shyt popped up and was looking around the theater at other peoples expression and they looked just as confused as me. That long drawn out speech by the architect.......aww man that shyt was a fukkin mess. Utter shyt. Great now I'm pissed all over again thinking about this shyt.
