he had some really good joints that were outside of his normal area of expertise. songs like round of applause, etc... its just the other trap sounding stuff got placed more. he kinda took shawty redd and d-rich’s style of doing a 2 note key change every 8 bars and the crazy snare rolls and, no pun intended, put that whole style on steroids. i hope the kid is okay and in a good place enjoying his money and making music. people have to understand when these producers “fall off” they’re still making music, probably making more interesting stuff than what got them on...its just not getting place or they’re not even trying to get placements. these guys are going to be making music for themselves regardless because they enjoy the actual process

maybe he thought it was corny or he just didnt know about it, but lex would have dominated the “trap” scene in 2012-2013 when dudes like hucci, lunice, flosstradamus were getting big. he could have easily transitioned out of rap and into that and frankly made more money
I remember back in 2014, he collaborated with A-Trak and form a group called Low Pros plus dropping an ep as well.

Round of applause was crazy at the time.

Lex got some classics. nikkas just jocked his trap style, a lot of the bigger acts he fukked with died down, personal issues, other cats blowing up, etc. i used to follow him on IG last year and he was cool. Left FL studio for maschine though

Happened to a lot of producers at that time. One guy gets hot, everyone gets beats from him until the sound shifts to a new producer, producer falls off.

Polow
Lex
Others I can't think of atm
Zaythoven and Metro still around and seem to be exceptions

I remember first time hearing round of applause at a party. The feeling was surreal. Like a movie scene or something. Til this day I've never experienced anything like it. Everything about that moment just fit too perfectly

Funny how that sh#t be fake, but when you the move in real life it hurts like a bytch.

That Rick flair figure 4 leg lock brings the pain:banderas:

The figure four was my finishing move. I won my first basement championship with it.
The GOAT submission move.
:ohlawd:

My nikka when i was 8 years old i put this shyt on a big nikka that was like 13, had him crying like a little bytch. :banderas:

Even did the ole 'round the world' finger twirl in the air before I did it, put some extra sauce on that shyt :banderas:

Think when he fell off was the start of the Sting Luger feud. I was watchin live when luger dead ass bytch slapped sting in the middle of the ring, i was like :ohhh::picard::francis::ufdup:
