Why did DMC5 not get backlash for having no upgrade path for next gen?

The guy with the crow creeped me out, gave me Marilyn mansion vibes so i stopped playing. I figure i can try to ignore him when i play it again

The guy that voices the black guy in the game gave me David duke vibes so I never bothered to play the game at all.

Oh so the guy that voices Dante is on some bs too? I remember this game was coming out around the time as yakuza 6 I think. Yakuza was in the news for completely removing a voice actor AFTER they had done all the recordings for some criminal stuff they found out he was involved in. When the racism stuff started to come out around the voice actor for the black guy in DMC5 Capcom did nothing and that rubbed me the wrong way so I never bought the game even as a moderate fan of the series.
