I wouldn’t say he was following a trend. It wasn’t the norm for black men to be bald (by choice). You saw more black men with braids than bald back then.

Mad black men either had that low ass haircut or would shave their head around 93-94. Especially after Onyx. And none of them nikkas had to be bald.

Guess it depends on where you live because in Chicago, you saw way more dudes with braids than baldies. I’m not counting low cut all around. I mean shaven bald.

Dude I've been rocking Baldies, off & on since the 90's,my hair always grew back slower in some certain areas of my head and I'm in my 40's now, with a head full of hair no problems at all. You DO NOT know what you're talking about.
