I don't pity him, I respect him and lend him the best advice I can for someone in his position, I'm one of the only males in his life who doesn't see him as a chess piece and I have love for him. He's 15, an out is something long term, these kids are focused on what can be done TODAY, and they know how to get it TODAY, my kind words can't feed them.
