Why would that matter if the music is "radio compatible"?She's married with kids. Alotta factors tie into that
She's middle aged making hood rat anthems, it's not going to connect as much with these young hoes, but she's basically repacking young thot r&b wave and selling it to her older audience
that's cool and all, and i pretty much said that in my OP that bey's music SELLS. but this article doesn't do anything to answer my question about radio/popular playwhile all 12 also appear on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart (with 11 debuting), powered by mostly by sales and streams.

clearly i care which is why i made the thread...an artist that popular who makes music that is radio friendly (not slow ballads like an adele), it puzzles me as to why she doesn't dominate like she did in the bday eraTo be fair she hasn't really been attempting what you described. It would be a problem if she wasn't selling well overall
Who cares what her singles are doing when her project is selling
If she had #1 hit single after single but no sales y'all would clown
Couldn't tell you the names of the songs.which songs
and "an artist of her caliber"?
beyonce aint making music to not be played to the masses, shyt her songs are very much that, but they don't pick up steam. if we're talking just "pop stardom" i'd consider rih on the same tier as bey, and she's been able to maintain a heavy radio presence since she came out in 05 while doing decent album sales as well (plat)...she never sold as many albums as beyonce, but real shyt, a lot of their songs are interchangable now, I could see either of them releasing the those tracks, so i'm not going to act like bey's music is some special avant garde shyt that doesn't play to the rules of radio
I heard two of her songs back to back on the radio two separate times within one hour today
