His reasons for not fukking with the progressives is that none of their proposals seem realistic to him.

That’s where I am too. Warren’s plans sound good, except when you think about where the money is coming from.

:hubie:

Trump has changed the game forever. It’s not even about policy anymore. It’s about who can win, and Republicans tend to vote every election, regardless of candidate.

Democrats tend to vote more emotionally, and need a candidate who “captivates” them.

Or maybe black people just blindly vote for establishment candidates because of name ID and the fact that republicans cut programs that benefit them. That's really all it is. I've always found the idea that black voters are "pragmatic" is laughable. Hard to be pragmatic when you only have one choice.

Taxing the mega rich by finally making them pay their fair share and shrinking the ridiculous military budget by even a smidge would cover medicare for all and a lot of other proposals. Warren has a plan to pay for everything she has proposed.

The bolded makes the decision pragmatic though.

I don't believe any of that pie in the sky stuff such as Medicare for all and free college. You mean to tell me all these pharmaceutical and insurance companies are going to just give up their businesses to the government? And the politicians whose pockets are lined by them are going to help? Furthermore if my employer is no longer paying the bulk of my Healthcare costs they are going to give that money back to me? Hell the fukk naw they won't. That shyt sound like a double tax to me.

Obama couldn't even get public option through because cause independants and a red state Democrat wouldn't go for it. Yet Bernie gonna get it through with a straight up republican senate? fukk outta here.

Similar issues arise from free college.

So when you run your campaign on impossible shyt I find it inpossible to vote for you.

I'm interested to see what happens in the 2020 primary. Last year progressives only real wins came in Black areas. The most notable being Ayanna Pressley upset in Boston. She had the entire establishment and CBC pulling strings for her opponent after they seen what happened with AOC. John Lewis even went up to Boston and campaigned against her, but she still ended up beating the incumbent by double digits. You get a few more results like that and things will start to shift.

When I win I bring we with me
:patrice:
"liberal wing of the Democratic Party" & "establishment wing of the Democratic Party"
.....
5. The left wing isn’t running enough black candidates
There is some evidence that African Americans are more likely to turn out to vote if there is a black candidate. (These studies are generally of general elections of congressional races, so they’re not perfectly analogous to a presidential primary.) In recent Democratic primaries, the candidate who is well-liked by the white liberal activist wing of the Democratic Party has struggled with black voters (Bill Bradley in 2000, Howard Dean in 2004, Sanders in 2016, Sanders and Warren in 2020.) The exceptions were two black candidates: Jesse Jackson in 1988 and Barack Obama in 2008.2
.....

:jbhmm:
So I take it the alphabet wing of the Democratic Party is wondering how to get us to vote for them.

This....

Most black voters like Democrat economic ideas but aren't into trannies reading to kids at libraries, stating their preferred pronouns, abortions in the ninth month and opening up their neighborhood to welcome every new guest walking in across open borders.

In other words democrats gone too far left on many social issues.. and lots of folks don't like it..

So they trying to play it safe by voting for someone they see as an old guard democrat.

But that's what makes it even more nonsensical

Bernie takes SOOO much shyt for not pandering to gays, trannies, and feminists more and focusing only on economic issues.

That's his lane,

Liberals are the ones who force all the gay, feminist, and tranny stuff down your throat.

Or maybe black people just blindly vote for establishment candidates because of name ID and the fact that republicans cut programs that benefit them. That's really all it is. I have no data but I believe most black people vote democrat because the Republicans are more open about their :mjpls: ways.

It's very hard to vote Republican as a black person in America without feeling like an Uncle Tom..atleast for me.

Not sure about Warren but Bernie isn't taking money from the companies and he laid out plans on how he intends on getting both of those policies. Taxing the 1% and billion $ companies more, and cutting military spending are two I can remember off the top of my head.
