They had at my high school. Ya'll nikkas need to step ya'll highschool district game up. We had the options to go to Technical schools along with our highschool classes. Also, it was some classes that offered certifications already in the HS I actually learned photoshop in HS and became certified in it.
We kinda had the college thing (going senior year) to finish college early, but it wasn't pushed. I tried to do that too my senior year, but didn't score high enough or some shyt. I did graphic design my senior year, but we didn't have certs in it. Now, if we had an IT class (we didn't) I would have done that. Having my A+ cert at 18 :wow:

I went to HS in Florida as well, thats how I got my trade. Had an A+, was gonna get Net+ but they closed the program for that. Went to military some years later and became an IT

Yeah in GOATRIDA if you were a good student not just academically but behavior wise you had the options to go to Technical schools or Colleges. It was cats into all sorts of trades and technicals classes.

I knew one whitely who HS offered him his CCNA as a technical trade..

He was in the military in that, got credited in a bunch of publications from a contractor working with us, eventually got out and started working for that contractor.

If I had a CCNA out of HS that would've been crazy.

Ayo if there's a Goodwill around you, there SHOULD be a Goodwill Opportunity Campus. GOC will teach you trades and A+ for free, it's up to you.
I already took the A+ class in 2015. All I have to do is take the cert. I still have my books for my A+ cert (software and hardware).

Threads like this pop up every few months. There are two huge reasons why, imo. The perception of holding a degree, and the lag in education. I'm glad to see the younger generation is seeing pass this, just because you have your degree from XYZ College in English, doesn't make them smarter, while your 2 cert is making you 75k a year to start. The big push for Higher Ed, was always leaned on making more people educated in lower income brackets. Problem is, A LOT has been watered down in the last 20 years. Where you go to school, the degree you earn, and the network you build is the trifecta to success.

everyone who has multiple degrees say if they were to do it all over, they would've put more emphasis on networking.. Its more about who you know..

Everyone who who is highly college educated MUST rely on someone who does a trade.. They can't get around it..
