damn a hall of fame. The SWAC is not major college football. It is college football yes but it is not major. You want me to tell you how come you know it isn't major. If one of there teams went undefeated they wouldn't be invited to a major bowl of any type.

So you going to act like the NCAA(White) didn't excluded SWAC from becoming D1-A. From 1930-1980 the SWAC and MEAC had better talent than the SEC, Big 10, SWC, and PAC 10. And this is the era Eddie Robinson coached in.

I'm just saying it is not considered major college football today. And likely wasn't 20 years ago either. I know of the caliber of players that came from there but indivdual superstars doesn't mean it was major team/program football.

The damn bands are more poplular :shaq:

We talking about the era Eddie robinson coached in 1930's-1990's. Most of that era the SWAC had better than any conference in all of college football.

white media tell us what is consider major buddy.

im aware Grambling is D1, but the level is clearly not on Florida State's

when they have to call your titles 'Black Football Championships', obviously this is 2 different worlds. Bobby had to coach against Jimmy Johnson, Barry Switzer and Steve Spurrier.

It all evens out b/c you only play up to the lavel of talent you have.

Yeah if Grambling played FSU, FSU would've probably won 99.9999% of the time.....but you only play up to ur level of competition.

That's almost like comparing a high school voach to a college coach

and grambling clearly wasn't on the level of Notre Dame, Alabama, SMU, Ohio State, Michigan and USC Miami and all the other schools routinely.

Not from 1950-1975.

I'll give you 1940-1960 but fact is that it still isn't major college football.

Don't let individual superstars convince you that an entire program is major because of it.

ok then Notre Dame from that era then.

Those white boys at ND would got ran off the field. People always forget that Grambling used to beat LSU in that era.

I remember Prairie View A&M beat #1 ranked Texas in the 60's. Cacs didn't even put it on the records books.
