Because conceptual genius is not the same as mediocrity. Kendrick is an artist who pushed the envelolope.
Drake is an artist who failed to transcend himself or his previous effort. Like I said before he is a cliche artist and will onlg give the same song over and over again. It's decent music but it is not mindblowing or intricate. Even Cole knows the importance of recreating yourself and sound to keep the fans interested.

Just cause a straight A student fails on one exam, doesn't mean that the teachers are turning on him. It just means that he didn't do as well as he usually does and rightfully got graded that way.
Drake always had some hater reviewers, just like he has some haters on here too. But that's irrelevant with this album cause the ratings spread is tight. Usually it goes between meh and dope as fukk. This is between meh and pretty good.

kendrick dropped a masterpiece. and he's advanced with each album.
drake has been saying the same shyt since take care. you can only do the same thing for so long.

Maybe the album is just decent but not great? And I say this as someone who likes Drake's music. There's a lot of filler on this album, it woulda got better reviews if it was 12 tracks.
