This is similar to articles by mainstream journalists such as VandeHei and Harris. It allows the reader to acknowledge the writer's account before leading him/her to the writer's perspective.
The one quibble would be the statement 'The elephant in the room is Israel', which announces the writer's intention. A more subtle intro would have made this similar to a The Politico piece.
Even the use of the term 'ethnic cleansing' differentiates it from the more outwardly political articles, they would have called it genocide, making many people dismiss them out of hand.

Lol, its just being real.

In Israel's position, you need an excuse, you need to prepare your audience so that they will view your actions as reasonable. Doing it now without an excuse will make them look like what they really are.

because dumb muthafukkas like you fail to the see the humanity of people before your simple minded sense of patrotism
What is the rest of the world doing? Why should America be the country concerned?

How about the other A-rats...are they not concerned about their brethren?

The Egyptians are a confused, retarded bunch. These nikkas protested by the millons to get Mubarack out, democratically elect the Muslim Brotherhood, only to throw them out a year later due to ideological differences. I think the real issue is that Egyptians need to decide if they want to be another Muslim "democracy like Iran or a country run by a military strongman like Bahrain. Because I don't think a traditional democracy will work for them.

Actually the U.S. has it's hands in the election process of who is getting elected. They pay and support the Brotherhood and then they pay and support the opposition which is someone they propped up. In the end...the Egyptians are left with no real leaders to trust.

Egyptians Bout that life:
At least 24 Egyptian policemen have been killed in an attack by suspected militants in the Sinai peninsula.

The attack on the police convoy, close to the town of Rafah on the Gaza border, was one of the deadliest on security forces in several years.

Interim President Adly Mansour declared three days of national mourning for the attacks, state TV said.

A state of emergency is in force amid wider turmoil following a crackdown on Islamists in which hundreds have died.

portrayed negatively in the media, as typically seen when other so called government massacres occur?
The muslim brotherhood is not liked thats why so slaughtering them is good business for the united states and its allies. Innocent people always get killed in wars so theres really no reason for the US media to give a fukk about them unless it serves some purpose politically. Colin Powell already told you that the US only gets involved if it benefits them but alot of people think the US reacts based on moral obligations. :russ:

*saves innocent people by killing innocent people* :heh:
