It's really an epidemic. You see women that seem to be good wholesome girls, you see their social media page and turning sides ways to show their azz.
And some of these women are in relationships. Men are cool with their girlfriends and wives attention-whoring?
I mean, I ain't tripping, but it does seem to be more Attention starving women than normally. For some reason I can't take them seriously when it comes to dating.

To answer your post:
1 word: competition.
Women are competitive af and they are competing for the best provider for their (potential) children.
This is not something they decided at a meeting, this is nature.
Back in the days they wanted the man who could kill the most animals and that man wanted the woman with the best wait to hip-ratio (because it meant she was healthy and could bear many children) and the biggest breasts (because it meant she could provide milk to the children).
Nothing has changed.
Why every time you see a dope azz BMW or fancy car do you see a fine woman in the passenger seat? Because this dude can be the best provider.
Why is it common knowledge that rich, famous dudes -regardless of looks- can bang the finest chicks? Because these dudes can be the best providers.
So women are in competition to get the best providers and they want money (security, but basically money) and men want fine chicks.
So this is why we see women showing themselves off in every possible way on social media, in the hopes of attracting a dude who can provide.
Of course things have evolved a little bit (you have fine chicks who realise they don´t want to settle but still want cake) but basically, this is it.
We work out, dress fresh and try to make as much money as possible to attract the best looking mother for our children (even though we mainly wanna smash) and they dress as sexy as possible for attention to get the highest chance of getting a rich provider (even though many just want a few Louis Vuitton bags and nice shoes and a car and an apartment paid for and tickets to the game and jewels and.. oh wait).
Again: in most cases, some people actually love each other for who they are and attraction plays a role in this, but in most cases women are acting like attention is air because of this: to attract a well-off dude.
