Bruh... nobody said there was NO difference. I just don't see the differences catapulting them to the 2nd or 3rd best team in the east...

That's it.... I said they'll make the playoffs, at probably a 6 seed. But I just can't see anything better than that, unless they show me more when they actually play a few games.

Edit: And the bench still isn't that good... You said marshon brooks at the 6th man spot. Then who... CJ Watson?... Jerry Stackhouse?.... what?

You need AT LEAST a quality 8 man rotation to make it through the regular season... let alone to make it through the playoffs.

Stackhouse is still playing? :dwillhuh:

And he's on the Nets? :dwillhuh:

3rd or 4th best. Other than Boston and Philly who else not named the Heats are a serious threat. Indy will be solid and the Sixers will make some noise. But that's really about it.

:skip: This is the type of person I'm talking about....

So the Nets are gonna win 55+ games next year? :mjpls:

They're gonna go from 22 to 55+ :mjpls:

I'm gonna tell you what's gonna happen with the Nets... which is gonna by why they won't be a 3rd or 4th best.

1.) They're gonna start slow... because whenever have new players working together, they always do

2.) They might split their games in the division.... playing in the toughest division in the east

3.) Once they do get it together (maybe 20-25) games into the season... it's gonna be difficult for them to keep leads because the bench is gonna be a big fall off

4.) Their defense in gonna be middle of the pack... when Indiana/Miami/Knicks/Boston/Philly.... will all most likely be better (defensively)

With that formula.... I see a 6 seed in their future.

If they have the 3rd or 4th best record in East... I'll make a thread on how wrong I was about them

If you actually paid attention to the team you'd know the only constant from last year are Deron Williams and Kris Humphries. Everyone else is either new, out last year or playing a new role.

Deron Williams actually has people that can score around him this year.

Brook Lopez is back. He never missed a game his first 3 years. Cant call a man injury prone off of one injury and one season.

Wallace is going to be there the whole year. He was only there for like 16 games last year.

Joe Johnson is an all star 2 guard

Mirzo Teletevic is the best player in Europe last year, and is our stretch 4.

MarShon Brooks is a good young scorer coming off the bench

Kris Humphries is a double double guy.

CJ watson is our backup PG

Not to mention you failed to mention the Knicks at all a actual playoff team that shored up its holes. The nets automatically jump ahead of us ? We played the heat as well as the thunder with a depleted team. We best the pacers sixers hawks celtics and magic . Even beat the bulls

i dont think anyone is discounting the knicks. we all know you guys will be solid. But can Melo and Stat play with any chemistry?

they still have kind of a weak bench. but having an elite pg helps things to mesh alot quicker.

1. You first point is one reason why they won't be 3rd or 4th best. All those players are gonna take a while to figure it out together, And when I was referring to what's the difference, I'm talking about player who'll actually make a difference.

2. I didn't say he was injury prone... but he doesn't have the build of a player who can recover quickly from injuries. His frame looks frail, it was proven when he couldn't even stay in for more than 5 games before getting hurt again.

3. Mirza Teletevic? :comeon: We'll see what he does when he gets here, but there are plenty of players who do really well overseas and do nothing in the NBA

4. Marshon Brooks is a good bench player... no complaints

5. Gerald Wallace is a good player... not a great player. But a quality player

6. Kris Humphries... Once again a okay/good player. But I'm also sure he stats were as good as they were because who else was on the floor? He won't have the same stats with Johnson and Lopez on the floor

Point is... they have some good pieces. But I don't see 3rd or 4th best in the East with their roster. Sorry.... It's 6th best not good enough for you?

So we're gonna act like being completely irrelevant to being the likely 6 or 7 seed isn't a dramatic inprovement now? Knicks fans were cumming in their pants when Melo and Amare took them to the Playoffs in 2010-2011 only to be unceremoniously bounced out by the Celtics. Talking about NY is Back :krs:

Now I'm not saying they will even be that good, but their roster on paper is a very good team.
