We know why.

Younger rappers don’t even have real fans. These dudes have people listening to them who don’t even know who they are, but know their song. Older rappers have loyal fanbases. Who are willing to actually pay to see them. You can't even get younger listeners to pay for a damn Spotify subscription. They're definitely not putting up bread for show tickets. They ain't got it.

"Old school" as not only individual acts, but as an era and media environment, had an entire investment matrix propelling them... the effects of all that coverage and money still hasnt expired

All that money clearly gone today. They just throw these random unfunded guys out there to see what can serve an algorithm. Unfortunately, it makes sense... when their entertainment competition is someone sittin in a room opening toys and eating candy or some other shyt (their advertising capacity is amazing and it costs nothing... which is what alot of entertainment is about) why put up money
