I know plenty of immigrants who have been naturalized who are hardcore anti-illegal immigrants. Most of them had to go through a lottery process or find sponsors for them to come here and sometimes these process can take years with family members only coming a few at a time or one at a time. They don't look highly upon the illegals who sneak through the border.

They had to go through some fairly difficult, time consuming, strict rules to become american residents or citizens..why have they not rallied against illegal immigration?

Seattle Times had an article about how some families who are here on H1-B visas (here to work basically) have quite employable husbands and wives who cant work because the visa restricts their spouse from working. Why are families like that not upset at law and rule breakers who are taking THEIR jobs, quite literally?

I'm interested in all sides of this argument. Especially first generation american residents.

Once people get here they could give a flying fukk. The only way someone is going to care about illegal immigration is if they watch alot of cac news. Immigrants see America as a place to pimp the system.
