Why are legal immigrants not enraged about illegal immigration?

They had to go through some fairly difficult, time consuming, strict rules to become american residents or citizens..why have they not rallied against illegal immigration?

Seattle Times had an article about how some families who are here on H1-B visas (here to work basically) have quite employable husbands and wives who cant work because the visa restricts their spouse from working. Why are families like that not upset at law and rule breakers who are taking THEIR jobs, quite literally?

I'm interested in all sides of this argument. Especially first generation american residents.

Can't knock the hustle? A large number of legal immigrants probably have family or friends who are semi-legal or illegal.

Most immigrants are probably in favor of making it easier to become residents, especially if they had a hard time.

Spite doesn't really motivate people. Especially when its perceived that the anti-illegal crowd probably doesn't like legal immigrants all that much either.

I heard this argued on the radio. The host was in favor of amnesty and saying you can't break up te fam. Ole dude was lik " I don't want to, the kids will go with them." Made a good point
