Final Crisis was a mess mostly because of the editors butchering the story to sell more comics.

With that said Morrison hasn't done anything really good for a while now. His New52 Superman stuff was weak IMO.

All top tier superhero stuff. Also enjoyed his Doom Patrol and Animal Man. Was disppointed with Wonder Woman: Earth One.

And death of the new gods had nothing to do with final crisis.

So was Countdown

Only the Miracle mini series had something to do with FC. Think D.C. 0 and some Bat stuff too.
