Molina failed to hold up his end of the bargain. AB would've picked him off systematically if Molina wasn't doing his best Weekend At Bernie's impression. The feints really bothered Molina and that alone made the fight too easy for AB. It's not AB's fault.

He just has to take a step up in comp in his next fight. It would be terrible if AB fought a bum while Matthysse takes Provo. The winner of that fight could take on AB and would obviously be compromised after going through a war. Maybe AB should fight Herrera next.

I think another reason alluded to but not quite spelled out was that boxing fans have a lot riding on how well fighters perform on television. Like Kathy Duva said, she hopes Haymon doesn't blow it cuz boxing will never come back to free TV. In the eyes of the hardcore, Haymon might not blow it, but Molina and Broner just might. Molina decided not to show up on the second most important boxing event this year. Broner's mouth needs to be muted not just because of the stupidity his borderline c00n azz spews, but because his fights don't necessarily jibe with his mouth. He's like Prometheus, it looked good on the previews, had some talented actors, legendary director, and yet the movie failed to live up to the hype. Meanwhile, Thurman lived up to the hype, Guerrero exceeded his expectations and then some. Those two saved last Saturday.
:mjcry: Don't remind me breh. I had such high hopes for Prometheus.I saw that trailer and was :banderas:. Saw it and left :ld:. I spent months convincing myself it wasn't that bad. They wasted a godly performance from Fassbender too. I'm still holding out hope for the sequel though :yeshrug:

Edit: Noomi Rapace was amazing in it too.

Prometheus didn't live up to the hype but not only was it a good movie but it was also a financial success which will have a sequel. That's damn near unheard of for a rated r sci-fi movie with a big budget. Choose another comparison next time dog. With that example it means Broner was a success and will be given chances in the future to be a franchise. Silly comparison.

Not silly and I'll explain why. Check the reviews not just from the press, but more importantly from fans of the Alien brand. The movie was a mess, and the more I think about it, its more comparable to Broner than I originally gave credit to.

Hype and Promotion: They did the viral marketing well, got people talking, making predictions, dissecting trailers and snippets, and it all ultimately culminated into a massive buzz for the film's release. Then came the reviews. You won't find too many 3.5 stars or 4 stars out of 4, but you'll find plenty of 2.5 and 3's, because the final product while it wasn't completely shyt-upon worthy, it wasn't great either. Both moviegoers and the press were on the same page. Did we expect too much? Maybe. Or did Ridley Scott and the Studio promise too much? Probably. Same with Adrien Broner not living up to his own self promotion.

Trying Too Hard: The chestburster scene from the original Alien is classic, iconic, in a category of its own. I can only imagine the horror within the theater when the audience first saw that. The same when they first saw the full grown Xenomorph make its first kill with the cat having the same expression as the audience. Ridley Scott tried to do the same thing in Prometheus with the worm surgery scene. Trouble was it wasn't shocking, and was too predictable. As a fan of the brand I've been keeping up with developments, and I read an interview with Scott stating that he's going to introduce something more terrifying than the Xenomorph in the next film. Again, he's trying too hard and runs the risk of not delivering what he's built anticipation for. Same with Adrien Broner. He's brash, cocky, shocking, plays to the camera just like his................big brother. The only difference is big bro delivered in the ring, not as great as he used to be, but still good.

And breh, as far as financial success, so what if it earned a sequel. Jurassic Park earned multiple followups from the original film too, doesn't mean they all weren't trash. The one with the little girl doing gymnastics over raptors probably earned back its budget and had a profit. Doesn't mean the movie still wasn't sh!t though. Same with Transformers and GI Joe. Adrien Broner is going to be back on television, probably will win too, doesn't mean the fight won't be a snoozer though. And his stock is going to decline if something don't change. He wants to be his big brother but doesn't have the bodies nor discipline, and most importantly spectacular performances to pull that off.

:whoa: not about to respond to all of that breh breh.
It's a bad comparison for the fact people are saying it was a failure for broner when prometheus wasn't. Not if you're comparing silly reviews then i guess. But prometheus was good and also a success which is leading to a franchise. If that is failing for broner and prometheus then everyone needs to fail.

Well then it's the perfect comparison because Broner will be given more chances in the future and he is a success because he won his fight. He just didn't perform to the level everyone wanted/expected considering the situation. So this actually might have been the PERFECT comparison.

And I'm calling it now, if Broner steps in the ring with my boy Zab he's getting stomped out. And then Zab will get his rematch with Garcia, take that belt, and get that rematch with Money and hand him his first loss and then retire as the GOAT... :stopitslime: :sadcam:
