1) the main reason why this justice for Trayvon happened is because in the very beggining when the incident happened, it happened in the midst of the gun control debate. The media took this story and used the gun control debate as a launchpad for this story. And then the people started caring.

2) Yes there are groups combating black on black crime, but their size versus the number of people talking about the Zimmerman case...... the latter eclipses the former.

Why? Because anti-black on black crime doesn't get as much airtime?
Sure, but then the problem is that the people allow the media to tell them what to care about.

Sure, nothing surprising there, but we should all acknowledge that and therefore understand that this story should not be such a hot topic.
