let me share with you a little experience I had
a couple of weeks before the Trayvon verdict, some of the boys came over to the house. Amongst them was a college buddy of mine known for his ability to tell hilarious stories, no matter when I see this dude h always has a funny story about something or other, he really has a gift. And he is a really good dude too, Caribbean American, Wife and kids, good job, decent education and all. At some point we got into discussing the case, and lo and behold homeboy starts spitting line by line the defense propaganda that had been so unethically vomited in the court room and regurgitated by the press. I had been following the case intently and schooled him on a few (and rather basic) facts of the case, I may have been a bit too passionate and my tone may have caused him to retreat, but in any case he gave me little argument in return. My eyes were wide open that night, some cats just like to tell the most interesting story in the room, the truth, especially the truth that requires diligence, is often and at least, the sacrifice.
