One thing about Nolan's take on Batman, I hate how underutilized the Scarecrow was. Storylines with him and using fear against them shoulda been done way better. He was pretty much just a flunky.

I will say this much. Having watched Batman TAS no other villain had pushed Batman to the brink quite like Mad Hatter did in the episode "Perchance To Dream"... (which also happens to be my favorite episode). The choices and the sacrifices Batman has to make in that episode are graver than anything Joker has ever thrown at him imo. Perhaps making the case that Batman is just too smart for his own good.

If you haven't seen it, watch it.

But on average - outside of Joker - I would say that I usually find the most joy in Riddler stories. So my choice would have to be him.

Me, I always liked the Clay-man. He was a victim of irony. Struggling actor who was a bit self-absorbed but couldn't get work, stumbled into a life of crime under the persona of a popular character from a horror flick then BOOM!! A series of unfortunate events leads him to starring as the main Ugly As$ Attraction. Now that is karma going on a permanent lunch break at his expense & straight up not liking boy-boy. He had a sh#t life now ... looks like a stressed-out turd.
