Childish Gambino is a good rapper, a good standup and an excellent tv show writer…as well as a good actor. Bro is different. How is Tyler the Creator creative? Lol, he’s just a gimmicky type dude to me that young white kids/suburb black kids like. If he’s more than that put me on

He's doing well on business side. His Golf Le Fleur stuff sells out. And he's a great producer.

For those of us who've f*cked with both of their music since day one, there is no way that Gambino is even close to being as creative as Tyler.

Tyler has been self-producing himself since B*stard. He created a whole lane for himself and his crew, and makes music that he wants to make, that literally doesn't sound like anything else out there. No two albums of his sound alike. The whole OF movement was dope, and also branched off into other dope factions, like The Internet, Earl, Domo Genesis, Matt Martians, Frank Ocean, Steve Lacy, etc. All of that started with Tyler. Dude is super slept-on as a producer, and has continued to evolve as an artist too.

I like a decent amount of Gambino's sh*t, but if we're being honest, he's made a career of cloning sounds and artists that came before him. He spent years trying to mimic everything Drake was doing, then he switched to stealing from Sly and The Family Stone and Funkadelic. Literally having all-white bands replaying their old sh*t and repackaging it as his own "soul music". He went through a period of trying to rap like Wayne too. And stole the whole concept for "This is America", including damn near the title, from some unknown dude who did it way before, and had called it "Made In America", lol. And got sued for it.

He's an actor. And actors who end up trying to make music, tend to be great mimics. His entire music career has been just that. Taking sounds, styles and formats from other artists, and trying to make it his own. There's nothing "genius" about that. Or creative. It's just blatant biting. Problem is, people tend to look the other way now when people bite. But the sh*t is still corny.

Because Of The Internet (or whatever that shyt was called)

Nope. BTI is amazing.

Camp was trash though and doesn't hold up, along with some of his earlier tapes.

It's Tyler for me, though I fukk with Gambino more overall.

But Tyler is a generational talent imo.

Most of his early reviews got on him for biting Drake and Wayne too much. After that, there was the lawsuit for stealing the "America" song and whole idea. And before that, dude put together a whole white band to basically redo old funk tracks made by legends, and then had the nerve to act like he was doing something new, lol. His talent is in being able to copy sh*t really well. He's good at it, and I can f*ck with some of the tracks, but the style biting takes away from being able to enjoy it fully. It's almost like he's acting when I hear some of the music.

Dude couldn't even come up with his artist name on his own. He got it from the Wu-Tang name generator, lol. I like Atlanta, the show. They do a dope job on that, but this dude is far from creative when it comes to the music, to me. There's just been way too much biting since day one.

What big hits :mjlol: :mjlol: He was only popular online
That’s wild wrong. There was a point and time I couldn’t go anywhere without hearing Redbone. My father liked the song, wanted to know who it was and bought the CD. My grandma and great aunts are aware of the song.
