Nah, AJ got over by herself. There have been divas involved with Bryan in the past and nobody cared. Punk has teamed with other divas and nobody cared. Some of AJ's most over segments didn't involve either.. they involved Kane.

AJ's done a good job with developing her character and the writers have done a good job in giving her the opportunity to do so once they realized people were into her.

With that said, AJ is not more over than Punk and Bryan. She is, however, more over than a lot of the guys on the roster and all of the divas so it's a good place to be.

But before Bryan AJ wasn't over whatsoever. In any way shape or form, she was a part of the Chickbusters with Kaitlyn and no one cared about her at all. The fans started to care about her because DB was trashing her and doing great heel work.

I agree that she is more over than most the guys and all the girls. She just wouldn't be there if it wasn't for Bryan

What you are arguing can be said for everyone.

If Punk isn't given a live mic to do a shoot promo he's not where he is today. He would still be a second tier character positioned in the RVD slot. Fact is, that promo was exciting/fresh, Punk delivered and even though WWE may have dropped the ball on his return, he is still benefiting from that night where he went in on the company.

AJ was given a chance to shine and she has. You can't take that away from her because we've seen Kelly Kelly try to "act".. we've seen a lot of the other divas be given opportunities and fail.

JR's Blog sums it up:

Jim Ross said:
Who is the break out performer in WWE so far in 2012? Is there really any debate? It has to be AJ who has taken the opportunities provided her, the creative input she’s received and has made her role bigger than I’m sure many perceived that it would ever become. Obviously, AJ waited for her opportunity and maximized her minutes no matter how few or how insignificant that they may have seemed at the time.

AJ is arguably the most compelling/interesting new, WWE TV persona to come along in a a good while. She’s a provocative, girl next door, with ‘something’ not just ‘quite right’ and has her seat reserved to leave at any time on the ‘Crazy Train.”

Oh, i`m with you that AJ has done a very good job with her opportunity.

It's just let's not get out of hand here. Anyone claiming she is more over than Punk or Bryan is going overboard.

The difference between the 3 mentioned is that 2 of them were over at points in their career and AJ isn't one of those 2.

Yeah - all I'm saying is that she took advantage of the opportunity and has done very well with it while others who were given similar opportunities were utter failures.

With Punk and Bryan it depends on the city. I'd say Punk is usually more over in smaller cities and Bryan is right there if not more over in smark cities (except Chicago).

AJ is only over because of this angle. If you put her in Divas matches away from the WWE title feud she'd get the same reactions all the other divas get.

That's why i don't think its fair to say other divas had the same opportunity, no diva has been featured like this in years

Kelly was put into all kinds of angles/matches, she even used to strip on the apron and it all fell flat.

Michelle McCool was given more mic time than most of the guys. Again, crickets.

Only women that has ever been pushed on this level was Stephanie McMahon, Lita, and Trish. Kharma definitely was heading in that direction considering her segments was getting good ratings and she was getting near Attitude Era pops. Mickie wasn't pushed like this but was so over that she never really turned face.
