How was he going to get playing time with Kyrie and Luka on the roster? Plus he is from LA.
He'd be able to be the #3 ball handler on the Mavs
With Lakers maybe he thinks he can be ahead of Reaves, or play when DLO can't.. pecking order with the guards is gonna be weird
