:why: dummy we had Jim Buss in charge giving dumbass presentations and we had nobody except post-Achilles Kobe. We have different FO now and AD in his prime as an asset to attract a star. Y'all stay bringing up that time period like it fukking means anything. Oh wow the LAkers had to rebuild for the first time in Buss era history in the mid 2010s. That means no player was ever gonna come forever lol. You're an idiot if you think no star would've came by now if Bron didn't.
Part of the reason Bron came here was because Magic, he obviously had other reasons but some of it was Magic..... and he quit after a year or 2 cause he couldn't handle the front office issues

who exactly is the attraction in the FO to sign in LA?

Motherfukkers were acting like dude was going to swing the title for a team :dead: glad we didn’t do anything stupid to get him
It's more about getting value back for DLO contract, in addition to fixing the biggest issue on this team.

DLO has a player option for next year, who knows what happens with that, and we will officially have the most unathletic backcourt in the NBA with him staying.

I had a feeling that we weren't going to be making any trades despite all that noise about trading Dlo, Reeves, etc.

If we weren't trading for players that could have an immediate impact like say Murray, DeRozan, LaVine, etc then you might as well stand pat and ride it out.

AD wouldn't be here without LeBron and I have a feeling Ad won't be here for the long run once LBJ retires. Didn't he mention about wanting to play in his hometown Chicago at some point?

If Bron didn't didn't come here we'd still be an awful team trying to make Ingram, Lonzo Ball and Kuzma the future.

We'd probably be rebuilding for the first time as franchise in quite a while. All the free agent stars at the time before Bron's arrival skipped over us.l because of how badly constructed we were but also management being at an all time low during those mid-late 2010s.

Right now we're trying to avoid the inevitable: which is going through a rebuild.

Let’s let Dlo play it out this year instead of treating dude like a walking trade piece. He’s been playing well, can’t keep judging him off of one playoff run and 30 regular season games last year.
