Then they should have tried to sign an extension. Some of us literally said this would happen lol. This honestly just backs up that nobody knows what they are doing in the front office.the ones advocating for DLo should have been traded are some of the people who thought we would have a deep playoff run except for @GreatestLaker. u can't have both. if we traded DLo who was expiring and struggling for a while, we would have gotten maybe a 2nd round pick and a bum. DLo was never going to opt in the contract no matter what, especially post deadline when he was balling. Unless you can show receipts of you saying they should have traded him when he was hooping his ass then I don't want to hear about how they fumbled. this was always the likeliest outcome. He probably goes somewhere like Orlando where they desperately need a PG and where he can have peace of mind and not be blamed for everything.

Play stupid games....
DLo for Paolo! Do it, Rob!I’m hoping they work out a sign and trade with Orlando. Dlo fits a need there. And they got some pieces we could use.
Maybe they’d be willing to part with Gary Harris and Goga…
Orlando has like $60 million in cap space.I’m hoping they work out a sign and trade with Orlando. Dlo fits a need there. And they got some pieces we could use.

I hear what you are saying but, this is a DIRE situation. Like there is 0 cap space to replace him if he leaves. You do realize an extension is a mutual thing right? You can’t force someone to sign an extension. It had no benefit for either side. If they sign an extension, you guys would shyt on them for being impatient considering his documented playoff struggles. DLo had no reason to sign an extension because whatever they would have offered him at the time, he probably felt like he can get that in the offseason anyways. Like let’s be fair when discussing this topic. They didn’t mismanage DLo’s deal, this was always the outcome.

Do you know how extensions work? They can’t force dude to sign one….
I know, thats why I said tried. Once they let the trade deadline pass all of the power they had in that situation was gone.Do you know how extensions work? They can’t force dude to sign one….
