My position on the matter is: there is no proof of racial bias so we cannot say that her actions were racially motivated. There is no proof that racial bias motivated her actions(at least no one asserting "SHE JUST RACIST!!" has presented any proof of this being racially motivated). I would have no problem considering it if someone could supply me with examples of her being racist in the past(e.g., racist tweets, footage of her assaulting other black men, footage of her being racist, or racist forum post). All I got from @Mowgli was "it's true because I said so" and @7Revo tried to back up his assertion with anecdotes(which we know are worthless in most arguments) that weren't even connected to her or anyone else at the event, the only connection his anecdotes had to this situation was video games. You can assume many things such as: maybe she didn't like him as a person, and maybe she was on a time restraint and wanted to get a game in before she had to leave so she tried to sit him down.

"WHO'S B*TCH THIS IS???" Yoooooo
People acting in racially biased ways typically do not come out and say "I am doing this because this person is Black/Hispanic/Asian/Muslim/Jewish etc.". And people in general don't reveal the truth behind their actions, and many aren't even conscious of what that truth is.
When we suggest that there may be racial motivations behind attacks like this you have to look at the incident in its proper context, not as an isolated occurrence. Firstly, the U.S. is a very racist society. And White America has always had a problem with Black people who, in their view, get "uppity" or deviate from whatever attitude they think Black people must have in this country. This has been observed in sports, politics, gaming, media, education, and pretty much any other area of society that we inhabit. Knowing this history of White contempt of Blacks who don't have the "right attitude", it's hardly a stretch of the imagination to believe that this woman may have had racial biases that fueled her attack on this man.
Making a new account cause I don't want to get any heat for this. I know who bytch that is and I know what she was doing. Not gonna name names cause I don't want to reign r/Kappa hellfire upon them. She's a local anime player and not very bright (I'm pretty sure she has aspergers or something like that), she's a very much "Social Justice Warrior" like aswell. Anyway she was not happy with ShinBlade and the Memphis team at all and was pretty vocal to a few people about her not liking ShinBlade thinking he's a rude person and too loud for the tournament. So when ShinBlade starts popping off she decides to go up and grab him, trying to look like she's calming him down but mainly to bait a reaction out of him. Not only did she try to get him DQ'd but he wanted him to end up as another Aris CrossAssault situation and make it look like he attacked her and get some serious heat heading his way from shyt like Kotaku and Polygon. I guess she's going off the logic that cause she's a girl people will believe her over the guy. She wasn't alone on this either, she told her friends, who are thirsty as fukk white knight nerds, this whole thing and they jumped in. Hence you can hear dudes in this video yelling to DQ him before anyone knew what was going on even though he did nothing wrong and she was the instigator. This seriously isn't the first time she's played the victim like this to get someone else in a fukked up situation either, on facebook right now she's making the whole situation revolve around her. Anyway TOs show up and try to figure out what the fukk happened ready to get the DQ hammer out, I didn't hear the conversation but I assume dudes with tapes and witnesses confirm that ShinBlade did nothing and the girl started it, tournament continues but I assume ShinBlade was told to keep the pop offs quiet. I just wanted to shed some light on the situation before Kotaku shows up and tries to make it look like ShinBlade assaulted a woman and how the FGC is mysoginst.
EDIT: Prolly gonna delete this account right now too.

Of course they don't come out and say that, but they usually have have videos or posts talking badly about whatever racial or ethnic group they do not like.
"When we suggest that there may be racial motivations behind attacks like this you have to look at the incident in its proper context, not as an isolated occurrence. "
People in this thread aren't suggesting that is may be racially motivated, they're stating it as a fact, a "fact" that they have no evidence for besides very very loose connections. There is absolutely nothing wrong with considering it the problem is when you make baseless assumptions and push them as facts, and you end up making an ass out of yourself when you cannot provide evidence to support your assertion when requested. You CAN look at the the racist history of the U.S but it still doesn't really support the assertion that her actions were racially motivated, it ends up as a slightly different version of 7Revo's argument. You can look at the past but you can't make any conclusive statements about this case through it because of a lack of evidence. Do you realize how weak this sounds: "Well it WAS racially motivated because the U.S is a historically racist country therefore this assault was racially motivated" or "This WAS a racially motivated attack because people said racist things to me in an online game before".
White nationalist tried to do the same thing a while back with that old black Saints fan taking the ball from the white female Bengals fan, they pushed "he did this because she was white" as a fact without taking anything else into consideration.
Again, I will have no problem considering this may have been racially motivated if someone can present any evidence of her exhibiting any sort of racially biased behavior in the past. Anything from her saying she doesn't like blacks to her talking slyly about blacks.
