Cops did the right thing. He shot at the tires. That son looks like a dumbass and the cop could have killed him. There is literally nothing stupider in this world than trying to use force against the police.

That son was half a heartbeat away from getting blow away along with the rest of the family trying to pull off. I'm not condoning shooting at a car full of kids. However the mother and son escalated the situation. Lucky no one got killed.

Shooting at a moving vehicle is not a safe thing to do. The tires cover metal which the bullet could have ricocheted off of, which could have hit someone in the car or the gas tank. He would have flattened a tire but that was a real dangerous thing to do. Especially with other officers in the area when he was firing the weapon.
