Mick Foley, masterful psychology.
Bret Hart, in ring storyteller, great selling.
Macho Man, storyteller

.....

Honorable mentions would consider...

The Rock, he had the intensity to step it up.
Hulk Hogan (racism aside, he was a good storyteller in the ring, infact that was 1 of his best attributes that helped him get over)
The Undertaker, he had amazing psychology, not everybody could pull that gimmick off.

Probably a lot of people could name, some lesser mentioned wrestlers too. Mick Foley really got me invested in his shyt too, amazing promos, really incredible promo work and in ring he would do subtle things that made it epic.

I guess what I’m saying is that wrestling and telling a story is way more than just being a “mat technician” or “ring general”.

Hogan could NOT wrestle

Hogan didn't have to wrestle. He knew what the crowd wanted in America. In Japan he was more technical because it's a different kind of fan that enjoys actual ring work.
