Agreed, but even with that Gospel album he just dropped that won a grammy, none of the songs on there is beating anything Drake recently did

It's a gospel album, so it's going to have a more limited audience. But as actual music, it's higher 'quality' than something like dark lane demo tapes (which I enjoyed). That's what's being argued here. Drakes music is great to smoke to, drive to, club too... but even drake rapping about his deepest insecurities is shallow compared to what we get from Ye.
