Johnston made really good lyricless songs for the most part (there are notable exceptions) but Jimmy Hart had songs that were radio ready. Its fukk Hogan but Real American could have been the new national anthem and been more american than the star spangled banner or america the beautiful.


At the end of the day though Jim Johnston has a longer and more consistent body of work so he wins but its a lot closer than people think as far as a Verzuz battle goes
