This ain't a fair comparison. One is in the ideal situation and the other is in quicksand.
I said Cousins would have better career than Favors before they were drafted. I'm saying Barnes will have a better career than a guy with no jump shot. Take it to the bank.
2 games means nothing. HB is starting on a Western Conference playoff team and putting up numbers. Meanwhile the boy MKG.......Is fishing.
I felt Favors will have a better career and still do.
Cousins mentally is extremely limited and he's doesn't understand the game of Basketball still. He is extremely talented and has always been. Favors is figuring things out. He should breakout next year.

wouldn't this more be a function to where your drafted more so than who the better player might be?
barnes would put up 16 on the bobcats and they would lose 60+ games like they're are. MKG can do more to help his team and would be a good option coming off the warriors bench or starting like barnes.
Their situations aren't similiar enough for a comparaible comparison
If Favors ain't better yet then it ain't gon happen. Them nikkas is too close in age for Favors to close the gap.
Favors was very raw coming out. Cousins was more polished. Favors game in the NBA will be based on overall defense, mid range, trash points, and PnR's with solid movement offensively. His game revolves around having a high amplitude of the offense and defense. He needed time to learn and Utah did just that.
Cousins game is talent driven all the way. He can't do most of what you need a player to do in regards to helping a team win but he can score on the block at ease, shoot the J decently, and he can defend when it wants. A complete enigma. One of the players in the NBA I just do not like. J.R. Smith, JaVale McGee, Nick Young and at times offensively Josh Smith is also on that list. God gave that man a lot of talent but he does not understand the game all too well.
Barnes would be a star in Charlotte. Dude is a 4th option here and still has an impact on us winning. In Charlotte he'd be Paul George as a rookie.

Favors has never been better than Cousins, what makes you think that that will change?
He's role player right now on ANY NBA team. Today he took like 27 shots to get 26 points. Nothing really impressive about that and it's not like he is seeing different types of schemes to stop him. No one even respects him like that on SA. Breh, you letting the moment take control over logic.
MKG would be a role player on any NBA team right now. Heck, he would be more valuable. His effort reminds me of rookie Noah and he has some talent as well. While I don't think one is better than the other I do think MKG can change a culture given the talent around him. I do not see that with Barnes.
I didn't realise that Cousins' and Favors' careers had come to a stage where we could accurately scale their whole careers?
For the sake of being hypothetical - what happens if Milsap gets traded, Favors starts and Utah make it to the playoffs in the following seasons on the back of his play and Cousins rots away in Sactown with his bonehead self?
How many small forwards get praised for their effort? Dude was the 2nd overall pick and the best thing u can say about him is effort?
