Found it weird that she announced it in a backstage bit instead of the ring. I guess it reinforces the fact that they think Rosa isn’t that important. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a champ announce an injury/“vacate” a title backstage as opposed to doing it in the ring.

It's not about the performer, it's about the title. They set the precedence with Punk already. They should have at least been on the stage to make the announcement instead of a pre-tape segment. The only reasons I can see why they did the backstage segment was because they either don't respect her or they don't trust her with a live mic because she might go into business for herself.

I say it’s because she struggles badly doing live promos as is (said she was relinquishing the title), would be worse being emotional, and they’re going to part ways soon.
