Who will be the next big villian in the MCU?

I doubt it is Kang because he will be the next villian in the ant man series, plus Jonathan Majors isn't a big name and doesn't yet have the acting chops of a Josh Borlin.

Doom is a possibility but he isn't the same level of threat as Thanos, he is basically the evil version of Iron man mixed with doctor strange. However he would be able to pull off the same anti hero vibes as Thanos with the right actor.

Galactus is an existential threat as he is a planet eater, that could be interesting but he is a huge ass unknowable entity so it wouldn't be as much personality and characterization as Thanos.

Considering the next phase is Secret Wars...it has to be Doom...but they failed twice with him...I'd say keep the Russo's on, since no one is touching Thanos.

I don't think Kang will be a one-off villain he's most likely going to appear in the Loki show first. He COULD be a major villain since he can appear in any time due to his time-travel tech, plus he's already conquered the earth in his timeline and different personas and has the super-futuristic technology.

This. Kang will definitely be a key villain in the future. Maybe not the big bad, but he will have a major presence.

If I had to bet though the next big bad is Dr. Doom.

I wouldn't mind seeing The Grandmaster come back in some way. How or what he'd do - I don't know. I'm just saying this because I'm a Jeff Goldblum fanboy.

It's probably Doom

Kang is written to be a multilayered character. He's a villain one day and then he may come from a different future/timeline as a hero. It's unclear what scenarios they will use for him. Doom is always an Avengers level threat in every scenario.

It should be Galactus with all the interstellar fukkery and characters they are introducing, and seemingly no one at all appears to even be a threat for Captain Marvel. I'm still annoyed with how overpowered they made her compared to other MCU characters. Galactus can introduce his heralds like Surfer, Morg and Terrax and they can hang with the big guns. Hell, I wouldn't mind seeing Beta Ray Bill being a herald of Galactus because they seemingly teased him in Thor 3.

But it'll probably be Doom.
