I'm a fan of travis scott. Antidote got me into him along with Piss on ya Grave. He has N excellent ear for beats and what really made me a fan was that he admitted that he ain't best rapper lyrically but he focuses on making good party music and sticks to his lane and I appreciate that honesty. Birds was a great album. The production was stellar, the guest features made sense, and everything was beautiful to hear. The Ends, SPD interlude, Goosebumps, the joint with the weekend, way back, outside with 21 savage, man the whole thing slapped. Even the mixtapes with the throwaways are dope. Days before rodeo is fire. Grey Skies, backyard fire.

I like him but he's a diet Rocky and a kanye knockoff rolled into one.

Way Back and goosebumps literally the only songs.

If rocky didn't become a fashionista ass nikka and drop music then Travis would probably still be producing.

Man flipped on a paparazzi for calling him asap rocky.

He industry planted his way to success. The media wouldn't shut up about him, he didn't have ANY buzz or fans for years but after they payola'd Antidote on the radio and people knew Travis was a thing he got some fans. It's crazy watching a plant get success because the media told you they were successful. It's like a magic trick. It only took 2 tapes, an album, shyt ton of features, Kanye cosign, at least 8 music videos, constant media reminders that he existed, a payola'd hit, Young Thug features, and much more to get him to the point where he has actual fans that weren't just a small minority of hipsters/hypebeasts.

Post some Travis songs that sound similar to Rocky.

Dude sells out shows, gets a ton of play in the clubs, one of the highest streamed artists in the game

I used to think he was trash too and I agree with everything you said but the fact is, he's amazing at doing exactly that.

Copying other nikkas flows, "executive" producing his beats, getting the right features and uniquely using his autotune flow/sound to enhance his music. When he does all that, some of his shyt sounds GOOD. There is no denying that the man has hits and a few bangers, so I let him cook.

Days Before Rodeo is actually a well put together project and much better than his 2 major label releases

I didn't know he had fans like that but people were more live during his set than Kendricks when I saw them last month. He's not a good rapper but he makes some cool/catchy shyt. His last album is dope.
Wasn't the case in Oakland. I'll say the audience travis appeals to loved his shyt, but the older cats and more of the black people were there for Kendrick and Kendrick had the whole audience stuck :manny:
