we always use to say SOHH server was ran by a hamster on a spinning wheel....especially when sports events was on....it was hell trying to get a post to go thru...

damn...I thought that expression was originally in reference to BGOL and the infamous database errors...we mighta used CAC first too...that board been around since before SOHH and definitely before thecoli...we never used “breh” tho...posters used to low key clown y’all for saying it...breh is funny af to me tho

Off topic but wasnt it Javale McGee who changed the meaning of the word c00n?

Old heads know there was a time when we called our brehs ace boon c00ns

nah...white ppl used to use it to refer to ALL black ppl...and @ some point black folks started using it to refer to “funny style” black ppl (:mjpls:) but that was WELL before damn ass javale mcgee...but yes the phrase ace boon c00n/koon was popular @ some point but had nothing to do w/ “c00n” per se

I used to lurk SOHH before I started actually posting for real with The Coli transition.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’ve always understood it as a joke referencing how slow SOHH’s servers had gotten leading to the end as in “the servers are being powered by a hamster on a wheel”...and as a result, people flocked to a new forum with competent servers. Thus, we’re here.

Facts. We weren't really using it in the 80s- 90s people usually just cats like that Uncle Tom/Tom/Oreos. c00n got popular on black message boards after Nas dropped c00n picnic.

The kirk to the fields
TK Kirkland was technicially the first to use "cac". He gave Chris Rock the idea for "cracker ass cracker".

He also came up with the term "breh". Everyone was using "bruh" until TK decided to switch the 'u' with an 'e'.
