Donald Trump wanting to go after Canada and Greenland has had me thinking about this issue. Which U.S. President do you consider the most ambitious of all time? Which U.S. President had the biggest combination of being power hungry along with wanting to remake America and the world at large according to their vision?

James Monroe because of the Monroe doctrine

Andrew Jackson ( trail of tears and colonizing the Deep South)

James k Polk ( for winning the Mexican American war and overseeing the annexation of the republic of Texas , the Mexican cession( the actual U.S states of California, New Mexico, Arizona,Utah, Nevada and Colorado )and the Oregon territory,
establishment of the actual Canadian/American border
admission of Texas in the union

Abraham Lincoln (no explanation necessary)

Woodrow Wilson (the architect of the Versailles treaty of 1919 and the founder of the league of nations, the ancestor of the actual United Nations)

Franklin D. Roosevelt ( new deal, winning ww2 ) and Lyndon B Johnson( his actions escalated the war in Vietnam, he signed the civil rights act of 1964, the voting rights act of 1965, and all his great society programs into law)

JFK, Nixon, Reagan, Clinton and Obama.

Don't know too much about them all, but I did immediately think of JFK and how he and his little brother RFK thought they would be taking down the mafia without consequence.
