Jay had the work ethic and was willing to expand… he was selling records every year from 1998-2003

Dame didn’t know how to play his position and didn’t follow the 48 Laws of Power.

He was yelling at label execs, coming in meetings wearing baggy outfits.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they got at Jay and told him to cut Dame off or we won’t do business

Why couldn’t he make another Hov?

Hell he couldn’t even make another Young Chris.

He had Curren$y and fumbled that… ended up having to pay the man

Dame had too much pride to not admit that he screwed up. If he had did that, he would be eating right now and not getting defensive every time someone criticizes him.

That's not what happened, at all, bro.

Spitta was living at Dame's crib while doing all of the work for DD172. Dame paid for both of the first Pilot Talk's, and had them both pressed and distributed. Ski was paid by Dame to produce both projects. Spitta got a call from someone at Warner offering him a deal, but he had signed with Dame to be indie at DD172. He wanted more money, so rather than going to Dame and speaking with him about it, he signed a second deal with Warner behind Dame's back and then tried to ask for the two projects that Dame paid for, to give them to Warner to press and push. Dame refused to because he already had an agreement with Spitta. He owned those projects and funded them.

Because Spitta didn't have any music to give Warner, he sued Dame saying that his deal with Dame was messing up his bread with Warner. Even though he wasn't supposed to be signed with them anyway and did it behind Dame's back. He couldn't prove that Dame did anything wrong, but Warner did say that they were promised music by Spitta and he didn't provide it, so they refused to pay him. Spitta tried to get that same money from Dame, but also wanted his attorney fees paid back. Dame met him in the middle and gave him the fees and funds Spitta lost from Warner and kept ownership of the first couple of Pilot Talk projects. Which he still owns today.
