Rock Lee is one of the most respectable characters in the Naruto universe. Him and Guy are the one shining examples about how hard work can be on par with inherent talent/genius and even surpass it. That was supposed to be the whole point of the show (Proving Neji wrong) but it didn't.

Dude is far from useless and is a G for his come-up.
