Isn't this just playing semantics? It still ends in termination.
Letting the contract end and being up front about it with the talent a decent amount if time beforehand is different than just firing them on Wednesday with no notice.
I've done contract work on and off for years and I was always told a couple months before whether my contract was being re-upped or not so I had time to look for other work while finishing out the contract.

You're right. A "surprise" release is a far worse situation.

Edit: Also y’all keep naming people who are friends of EVPs or do backstage work. People like that ain’t going no where.

We see it didn't mean anything anyways when he took power away from said people in those positions. At some point, tough business decisions will have to be made and that's just how it works. It’s exactly the main issue with AEW right now.
