I was a senior in high school. Man...white folks were pissed.

I remember in school, I think History class, we were having a debate on who the best defense lawyer OJ had. From what I had read, it seemed like F. Lee Bailey was the most experienced. Some kid asked me who did I thought (I was the only black kid in the class) and the a$$hole teacher said "YOU BETTER NOT SAY JOHNNIE COCHRAN". Even though I thought it was F. Lee Bailey beforehand, I said Johnnie Cochran anyway just to fukk wit him. Y'all have no idea how much white folks hated Cochran when OJ got acquitted.

White teachers gave the black kids no slack. Any and every little thing could get a suspension. I got suspended for picking up a calculator and giving it back to the person who dropped it. Teacher claimed he stole it, even though he's had the same broken ass calculator since freshmen year. And since I handed it to him when it dropped I was a part of it. Both of us got 1 week suspension. I was a senior, about to graduate and had perfect attendance up until that point. I told the Dean about it (who was black) but he didn't give a shyt cuz he was c00n trying to get in good with the white folks. He put another week on top of the week I had already got. 2 week suspension over some bullshyt because they was pissed at OJ.

You see today white people being bold with their racism. Not even hiding it anymore. I think it all started when OJ got off. White folks were heated.

The way F. Lee bodied Mark Furman. :mjlol:
I remember F. Lee kept asking Furman if he ever said the word "nikker" (and he said the word not the weak ass n-word) and Furman kept denying. The media that night was giving Bailey heat for his line of questioning and saying Furman looked credible.

A few days later the tapes were released with Furman dropping nikka more than Tom Hank's son. That killed the prosecutions expert and made him look like another nikka hating LA cop. The jury wasn't fukking with Clark and Durden after that. That shyt was just as important as Johnny with the glove IMO.

I was in high school at the time, and when the verdict came in, they stopped class took everyone in the school to the the library where several tvs were set up so we could all watch the verdict live. No bullshyt.

8th grade. In class w/the only other black kid in honors math. Another teacher sticks head in the door. "Did you hear?" "No, what?" "Not guilty." The two of us jumped up and started hugging each other. CAC teacher drops her head on the desk and cries. CAC classmates are going crazy, throwing slurs, teacher ain't doing shyt, so we just left. It was a straight up exodus of all the black kids at my school. We LITERALLY walked the fukk out of class b/c of the OJ trial. And the crazy thing is, we couldn't have told you why. My mom says that black America wasn't really rooting for OJ as much as we were rooting for Johnnie Cochran.

Brehs :wow:

So days before the OJ verdict I had a bad bike accident, i was only 15 at the time, broke my jaw and six teeth.

Ended up at the hospital, they jawed my wire shut, mouth bloody as fukk.

I stayed there for 2 days, the 2nd day was the verdict.

The ENTIRE hospital was glued to their TVs. I had that bedside revolving joint and i my mother and father tuned to the verdict too.

I swear to Allah earth froze for a whole minute as the juror stumbled over OJ's name :mjlol: and said the magical words NOT GUILTY and Johnnie screamed YES!!!

I SCREAMED AND WILDED, my Dad had a HUGE SMILE ON HIS FACE, mom was clapping like crazy and laughing.

If you saw the look on the staff from nurses, to doctors to everyone :laff:

One of the greatest memories of my life despite the pain.

i was a freshman in college when the verdict was read. There was a campus wide announcement made the night before the verdict, Monday at 2PM if i remembered correctly. I think even classes were suspended:mjlol: My dorm was quiet as the verdict was about to be read, everybody's door was open and as soon as the jury said "Not Guilty" my dorm erupted. Everyone ran out their dorm rooms jumping around giving high fives and hugs:russ: the OJ trial was shown in its entirely on every major tv channel in the US (CBS, NBC, ABC). This was in the hey day of soap operas but the networks pretty much suspended all of them for the OJ trial:whoo: As game 6 of the Rockets/Knicks finals, the picture in picture box showing the Bronco chase slowly got bigger as the game went on and by the end the game was in the small box:francis: It was an amazing time in American history. I will never forget it:mjcry:
