Reading the credits, Eminem and Dre are credited. Nas is rumored to have ghostwritten Dre's verses. I think Eminem wrote the hook since he also provides additional vocals on it. Jay Z is also thought to have written Dre's verses. It's possible they all contributed: Nas and Jay wrote a verse, and Eminem wrote the hook.

he's not "thought to" have written Dre verses, Jay wrote Still D.R.E. it's in the credits & it was all over the magazines, i remember reading that Jay wrote one version and it was too NY and it didn't sound write so they made him re do it & he came with the shyt we hear now. i don't ever remember any mention of Nas writing anything for Dre in that period. why would Nas be the ONLY writer not credited in the booklet :what: that shyt doesn't make any sense this rumor has only popped up recently for some reason and cats cant even figure out which song Jay wrote because it's at the point now where cats don't have the cd anymore and haven't seen the credits.

Em is credited on The Watcher i would say it's 99% probability that he wrote Dre's verses.

pretty sure they already acknowleged that Jay wrote Dre's verse

*edit*

wait....youre not talking about this

Jay-Z ft. Dr Dre & Rakim- The Watcher 2:

Nas did the Watcher and Jay-Z wrote Dre's verse on the watcher 2

This is incorrect. Dres verse was written by rakim. Listen again it has rakim all over it. The neatly placed multis give it away. Jay has more of a unorthodox flow.

Last year, XXL claimed that Nas wrote Dre's verses on "The Watcher". They said he ghostwrote it which would explain why he's not credited. That was the first time I ever seen anything about Nas being associated with writing for Dre.

I still have the album booklet and I looked and only Em and Dre's names appear. As far as Jay, there's people who've argued that he wrote "The Watcher" because Part 2 is on BP2. No, that's not a good argument, but I've seen it argued.

that's the point, Dre credits everyone, there's no reason why he would keep Nas as a "ghostwriter" but fully credit EVERYONE else involved in the album. he credits Scott Storch when he played keys, he credited Mel-Man in huge letters on the back of the album and in every song as co-producer of the album. he credits Em, Jay, Royce and others as writing various verses for him throughout the album - there's ABSOLUTELY no reason why Nas would be the only person involved with the album that wasn't credited.

Just cuz he wouldn't say it being who he is doesn't mean he couldn't write it dumbass

So a white rapper can't write "wow cops don't like black people"

shut the fukk up dumbass
You sound furious, white boy. Of course a white person can say "wow cops don't like black people".... But that's not what was said:what:.

lol @ eminem even thinking about saying, "they wanna hang us, see us dead or enslave us. Keep us trapped in the same place we raised in. Then they wonder why we act so outrageous." Cry about it, seethe over it, do whatever you want with it as long as you realize and deal with it.

He's inherently incapable of saying such things:umad:.

Dr. Dre probably had input , plus it's not that difficult of an idea to write about. All they gotta do is put themselves in another person's shoes, which is basic understanding that many (not all) white people lack.

I always thought the "zipped up in plastic and when it happens that's it" line meant Jay wrote it since he'd later use that in Takeover
