Who Really Runs New York?

Giants suppose to be running New York. It's Giants' town now but nobody treat them right when they brought the rings.

Yankees was just everybody jump on the bandwagon now every years unlike back in the days

I think Giants and Knicks, Mets, Rangers are the only true fans.


Right now,.....it's suppose to be Giants.

Baseball's definitely the number 1 sport but honestly the Knicks are probably the number 1 team. Yankee and Mets popularity fluctuates depending on who's good for a prolonged period. For example in the 80's the Mets were definitely more popular than the Yankees. While it's true the Giants and Rangers have the most loyal fanbases. This city's sports scene isn't whole unless the Knicks are good and a Knicks championship parade would be by far the livest.

86-88/89: Mets (Gooden, Strawberry, HoJo)
90-92: Giants (Simms, LT)
93:95: Knicks (Ewing, Starks)
96-01: Yankees (Jetes, Mo, Torre, Bernie)
02-06: Yankees by default..dry spell in NYC Sports
07-09: Yankees and Giants (Tie)
10: Jets
11-present: Giants

the absolute peak has to be Yanks in late 90s tied with Mid 90s Knicks as far as most excitement/energy
