All I’m saying people put Kendrick on a pedestal lyrically and he’s supposed to be this super complex lyricist and he had no bars

As far the beef goes

Drake bars >>>> Kendrick bars

But move the goal posts however you please

:mjlol: Out of the dumb narratives being said throughout the threads this one takes the cake. Kendrick had tons of punchlines throughout the whole battle that landed, you sound delusional.

Drake actually rapped better if u actually speaking on actual raps. I stand by that.
Yeah I don’t believe this at all. Family Matters can’t carry this nikka over 6:16 in Compton, Euphoria and Not Like Us.

Push ups flamboyant ass punchlines and The Heart Part 6 being poorly written is too much to overcome. Kenny cleared him easily.

One thing I genuinely appreciated about Kendricks approach in this battle that's a little underrated is his ability to stay on brand. Its so easy to fall into the over aggressive hyper violence train during a battle... which could lead to excessive gun bars or street talk and affiliation babble or things like that but he really didn't get into much of that to my ear. In general you don't hear him rap that way so it would have been weird if he fell into that trap. He was able to be meanincing and aggressive without it which is a great highlight of the skill set.

Kendrick by a mile. He used a wide range of styles like some sort of Kung Fu master. Not Like Us took it back out West with a classic homage to their sounds.

I want to hear the other tracks he did. I bet there’s a damn reggaeton and gospel track.

Drake’s style is tired and played out. Same old flows. A copy of a copy of a copy.

@CHICAGO and @NoHalfWay what yall think?
nikkas don’t wanna admit it but lyrically Drake had the better display of bars from song to song

Euphoria is right up there, it was the hungriest I heard Dot sound in a long time. But Drake had them writers writing some shyt

2nd verse on Family Matters is the peak of the whole beef

Delivery - Kendrick
Flow - Kendrick
Creativity - Kendrick (by a hair)
Punchlines - Tie
Wordplay - Kendrick
Production - Tie

Kendrick took it pretty decisively. Creativity-wise, Drake had some decent concepts for his diss tracks, Kendrick's conceptual execution was better though which is to be expected because that's his strength.

Where Kendrick really shocked in this battle imo is with the battle wordplay. He had very little filler and his setups were consistently strong, which before this battle, the absence of which had been one of my longtime criticisms of his music. He also had punchlines for days, Drake had a lot of good punchlines as well so that was a tie imo. Kendrick definitely came correct lyrically throughout, I don't think Drake expected as strong of a showing from him at all.

That being said, I don't take Drake seriously as an artist for obvious reasons so it was Kendrick's battle to win. He did what he was supposed to do but w/ more flair than I expected :ehh: definitely gained more respect for his bars after all this.
Tbh Kendrick had so much better bars than Drake during this battle, its crazy...

I think this beef has shown that ultimately Drake is a better rapper and Kendrick is a better artist. I think Family Matters is the best song overall as far as beats and bars combined. But Kendrick did use different styles and dropped them in such a calculated manner, and that's where the Art comes into play.
