Who lives in a Loft?

What are the pros and cons? How do you like it? Do you rent or own?


Thinking about moving into something like this next year.

I've lived in a loft since I was 15 years old. Shyt sucks only because the walls were open and my parents could hear any and everything coming out of my room...and I could hear what was coming out of theirs

The bedroom is the top floor with the 2nd bathroom and the laundry room.

But yeah Im in my mid 20s. Id only live there alone and maybe with my chick if we move in together.

I think its way nicer than a typical condo and from what Ive seen similarly priced or cheaper. This place is 400k or 1900 a month to rent.

Lofts also get very very cold in the winter time, especially on the bottom. They're usually in gutted out old buildings or warehouses that don't have the greatest insulation in place. Then you got high ass ceilings, plus your utilities are gonna be a bytch trying to keep all that space warm.

that house hunters bs... yea they probably are nicer than a condo but i couldn't see my self buying one ....no where near future proof unlike condos which will always have a market imo.

EDIT: 1900? If its not at least 600 sq ft I'd say no.

I have.

Some of the best years of my life. Depending on the town/location you live in they are usually very spacious. Good for a bachelor life.

I don't recall paying less than a G or 2 a month ever for one. If you get one make sure it's on the water.

EDIT: 1900? If its not at least 600 sq ft I'd say no.

Its 765 sq ft and its downtown.

But yeah this place will be rented by the 1st of September but I'm looking for something like this for my next year. I'm really obsessed with living in a space with two levels, I also like open spaces.
