I think it's not even close really, James Harden is the only HoF Clippers player who never lost for them in the playoffs :yeshrug:

Homegrown from the ground up: Blake.

The player who's played the best in a Clippers jersey: CP3.

The best player out of every single possible person to put on a Clippers jersey: Kawhi.

It’s Blake Griffin, then Chris Paul

The perception of the Clippers changed when those two were paired together.

People that aren’t from LA and weren’t around during this time wouldn’t understand how the depths the Clippers were in prior to their arrival. They weren’t just a bad basketball team playing in the shadows of the gold standard franchise in basketball.
This right here.

Now they got the Intuit Dome and the city are now looking forward to Clippers games next year to the point LA is hungry for and wants a Clippers championship.

It all started with Lob City making them not a joke anymore.

I thought the city at large didn't care about the Clippers...

Even during the Lakers eras there were Clippers fans. Those people are still around and they've got newer fans as well.

Then the new stadium right in the middle of Inglewood coming next season and they may honestly be the new team.

Plus, I don't think many have been accepting of the Lakers LeBron era.

Lakers really need to go back to building through the draft.

I’ve never really disliked the Clippers. When I lived in LA they were an easy second team to follow.

Rivalry is really between fans. It’s rare when both the Lakers and Clippers have been good at the same time

Of course there were always Clipper fans but they were always a minority. My cousin is one but that's more recent and a product of rooting for the Spurs and following Kawhi.

I wouldn't say the city over here was hungry for a Nets title, or eagerly await Aaron Rodgers to deliver a Jets title. Those fans do, but the city at large they're secondary.

Yeah it's different here I guess.

The LA fans for sure want Clippers title and I think with the new arena next year makes them want one even more. Like Klay even said, playing the Lakers isn't the same. However, Clippers crowds are definitely bringing that energy that I haven't seen in Staples going back to the early 2010's when Kobe was still playing and they were a live team.

It'll definitely be something. I remember when the Lakers had the Forum and Clippers the LA Sports Arena. Now the Clippers will have the Intuit Dome and Lakers the Crypto.com arena. It's like the same vibe but flipped. Clippers needs to keep going at free agents imo and try to bring another one to the city. They're actually a good story.

Bob McAdoo. They're still the same franchise.

But the first buzz of the Clips after the Loy Vaught/Danny Manning teams was the Brand era. Brand, LO, Maggette, Miles, Q-Rich were supposed to lead the Clippers to relavancy. I still have their Slam mags. Brand did lead them to the playoffs, but they never really put together the right squad and traded everyone. And you could still say Blake before CP.
