Earl was around for mad years before MIKE.

MIKE always talked about how he got started and was inspired by Tyler and Earl. By the time he met Earl, Earl was almost 10 years into his career. But he always says that Earl is his favorite rapper and that Earl is his mentor and taught him how to express himself. He's dude's student. They're both dope, but he credits Earl for his style and expression.
