Who is the worst wife: Wendy ("Ozark") or Skylar ("Breaking Bad")? (no spoilers)

I haven't finished Ozark yet. The answer is hands down Sklyar White. People hated Skylar so much Anna Gunna wrote Op-ed in the fukking New York times as the season was coming to end. Crying and whining why everybody hated her character . It's almost 10 years since that shyt last originally aired and it's still fukk that bytch Skylar

Skyler was Karen before Karen was even a thing.

It’s hard to top that hate train. Didn’t help that Breaking Bad was absolutely booming in popularity, way moreso than Ozark today, during that final season. So the hate Anna got was 50x worse at the time.

I think people forget just how controlling she was in the beginning. I would’ve felt sorry for her more as the series progressed if she didn’t act so disinterested and cold towards Walt from the time the pilot began and before he even “broke bad”.

I think the majority dislike is less being misogynistic and more Skyler being an obstacle in Walt’s way. She was the rational voice and the audiences still wanted to see Walt’s transformation. She was trying to change him back into who he was before throughout the show and folks didn’t like that.

Was just about to post this. She was a fukking housewife. Walt was DEAD wrong for dragging his family into that dangerous lifestyle. The Skylar hate has always been misguided.

She had at least three solid “outs” throughout the entirety of the series and NEVER took them. Can’t feel sympathy for someone who refuses to save themselves and then doubles down on the fukkery.

Drove the man crazy by keeping him away from his kids which caused him to descend deeper into darkness that he would eventually succumb to, fukk that bytch.

She divorced him and kept his kids away because the nikka WAS A DRUG KINGPIN BEHIND HER BACK. She gave the money to Ted because if the feds went sniffing around Ted's books the paper trail would lead to Walt. From the moment Walt got his diagnosis she stopped caring about what he wanted and was trying to get him to do shyt he wasn’t into. He then realized he was dying and wasn’t getting better and decided the least he could do was make some money to leave for his family. He chose the streets but it worked and they made tons of money. You have to understand that when you know you are dying your fukk levels decrease substantially.

When that sorry pos of a wife found out she acted like she wanted nothing to do with it until she found a reason to use the money. The reason was to give it to her side nikka of all people just to spite Walter. No she was by no means close to a good person. She at no point understood what this dude was going through and didn’t even want to benefit from the money until she decided to use it to hurt him. Her intentions from the jump were selfish. Atleast Walt did all of this to help. You probably also think ghost on power was a bad person. I have never in my life men more annoyed at a character the way I was with that bytch and his crippled as son. The only character on their levels of pos is the redhead on shameless.

She cheated on him precisely to get him mad enough to leave. Now, she's not completely above approach - she never actually filed the papers. But in the situation that again, Walt put her in, she didn't want Walt Jr. hating his parents and the family falling apart.

I don't care if Walt was dying; like he said his own damn self, he got into the drug game for his own ego. If he really cared just about financing his family, he would've taken the money from Gretchen and Elliot. He didn't, and instead chose to risk his entire family to play Scarface and lived a double life in the process. Again, Skyler's not 100% innocent but you better have 50 times the smoke for Walt if you're being objective.

I never saw Ozark past season one so maybe this chick is worse. But everything about skylar just annoyed me from day one. She is just a unlikeble person. Obviously I’m not in the minority with this. Yea you can say Walter was doing too much because he was but damn what good was she other than nagging and annoying?

also Walt got into the drug game because he knew he could cook better meth than anyone else and because he could set his family up after he died. He stayed in the game because he found something he was good at and started liking it.
