what a way to open the thread up with great answers I wasn't even thinking of brehs...none of them, they all grew idolizing the original 'P'. got love for Styles and Prodigy, but this guy got them into hiphop

of course. EPMD is one of the greatest rap groups of all time... a lot of people grew up to EPMD like religion.You think people idolized Parrish Smith that much?
Rakim was first with that type of style, and honestly I can't think of anything Parrish Smith did better than Rakim.
Only problem is that on they broke up at first in '93 before most of these other P's even came out. You gotta be a little older to truthfully appreciate EPMD's wave - not the music though
