Kovalev beat the best fighter...Bernard Hopkins, plus took the 0 from two other boxers, so that's why I picked him

Crawford was worthy as well, but I didnt think too highly of Ricky Burns or Beltran BEFORE. The Gamboa victory was nice though.:obama:

I guess, it's a toss up between Kovalev and Crawford. Either one who wins is fine with me. Crawford did beat higher ranked opponents though, so maybe I should just give him the nod:ehh:
Manny got a better win (over Tim) than Kovalev breh

You think a version of B-Hop, who was two years removed from getting routed 11-1/10-2 to Chad Dawson and pushing 50 was a better fighter than Bradley, Donaire, Gamboa...or even Sergio? :patrice:

Yes....better than all of em except Bradley

Of course you would say that:russ:

And I agree:mjpls:

With that being the case then, Manny Pacquiao is the fighter of the year. He beat 2 undefeated Champions, including 1 who was top 4 P4P at the time, and took a dominant victory over Brandon Rios.

Manny Pacquiao is my pick:yeshrug:

Breh...he couldn't even give a competitive fight to Chad Dawson, who himself is a slight level below all those fighters...so how can THAT VERSION of B-Hop be considered on par with either of those fighters? :dwillhuh:

I picked Crawford.
He had a better year than anybody else because he was able to vault himself into the boxing public's consciousness with his wins.
Everybody was already riding Kovalev's jock even when all he was doing was beating up nameless faceless light-heavyweights. Crawford became a star in 2014.

Im taking anything away from someone who held 2 of the 4 Championships at Light Heavyweight and was ranked the #2 Light Heavyweight in the world

There's only one actual "championship" in the division...and the last time he fought to retain said championship...he got routed in non-competitive fashion...that tells us more where his standing was as a fighter then him beating a couple of shytty C-level paper titlists :ld:

Pulev my man

Pulev was a legitimate top three Heavyweight and Wlad destroyed him

Wlad hit him so hard Pulev started doing yoga in the middle of the ring :dwillhuh:

Crawford deserves to be on the list and get some votes
But Golovkin on this list over Wlad, Roman Gonzalez and Inoue is :scust:

Pulev ain't really beat anybody though regardless of where he was ranked in the division.

Algieri>>>Pulev

just on some real shyt.

Dude made Wlad look like the old Wlad that was knocking nikkas out before he got on that jab jab, clinch, hook, octopus hold, right hand shyt he's been known for.

Voted for my boy TC. Even though I don't think highly of Burns or Beltran, I still gotta give dude his props.

He made a star, and he proved to be the MAN at 135. Plus he knocked out Gamboa. :wow:

It's rough being a boxing fan in 2014 :mjcry:

The best won't fight each other :mjcry:

We can't even get a video game :mjcry:

@SuikodenII did mention a Japanese boxing game coming out on the PS3 this month

Heavyweights rarely fight anybody of note but Pulev beat Tony Thompson who's a solid contender

Also Wlad fought like that because he's attempting another America/HBO run and he's gotta give the people what they want from Heavyweights

Lettuce hope he continues it :blessed:
